Hot Tips, Cool Resources
September 2018
Hi all,
It's the end of the month and so it's time for some Hot Tips & Cool Resources...but first...
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
This has been a great month for me and I hope it has been for you too!
There's been a real sense of abundance this month. A faith that everything I need I already have, that life is full of meaning, purpose and joy, and that I am truly blessed to be doing what I love and helping others to find their purpose and passion in life.
Life is short. And we spend a lot of our time here on earth working at a job. For me, that means we owe it to ourselves to ditch expectations (our own and other's) and zero in on what brings us the most satisfaction.
This can change, as it did for me, mid-career, or at any time. When that happens we can feel pretty lost and unsure what is the right direction...so we need to keep asking ourselves, "Am I happy? Am I fulfilled? Am I living my 'currency' in this world right now?"
I feel like I can really say that I am doing that now, more fully than ever; being of service in exactly the way that my life intended me to be.
For that, I feel immensely grateful. Like all the hard work to get here has been worth it and all those difficult times were leading to something.
:)

Wheel Of Life Satisfaction
WHO I'M QUOTING
Paula Poundstone who said:
“Adults are always asking kids what they want to be when they grow up because they are looking for ideas.”
Haha! Love this.
PRODUCT I'M LOVING
I fell in love with this gizmo back in June when I had my first art exhibition, which was awesome, but also a big thing to pull off, with limited resources and 'living in the sticks' as I currently do. As I was preparing for the event, it dawned on me that people don't walk around with wads of cash on them for spur of the moment art purchases, so I was going to need a way to process credit card/eftpos payments on the spot. By chance, I'd seen this gizmo advertised and immediately went searching for one. In short, it's brilliant. Simple, clever, secure, inexpensive for the technology, and useful for just about any type of business!!
BOOK I'M DEVOURING
The Motivation Manifesto - Brendon Burchard
When I started this book, I thought his tone was a bit too preachy, and I put it down for a number of months. I came back to it and gave it another shot, because I believe this guy is doing some awesome work in the world. It is soul-stirring stuff, and the nine declarations to reclaiming your personal power are based on solid advice, although the book lacks practical exercises to ground the lofty ideas.
I love that Brendon is unafraid to be heart-felt. He does not shy away from optimism nor his big dreams for humanity, but confronts and exposes the weaknesses and fears that hold us back from realising our full potential. Ultimately a very inspirational and rousing read!

Until next month, have a wonderful time focusing on whatever brings you fulfilment and happiness!
